Some might assume that Americans have the most sex, what with our cultural obsession with sexing up everything we can. Others might think Europeans take the cake. But neither region can claim the top spot. According to new data, it's Canadians who are putting us all to shame.

Fertility-tracking app Glow looked at the number of sex sessions logged by their users in various countries and compared it to an overall population average. What they found: Canadians are having the most sex (eh?), and Latin Americans are apparently having the least:
Canada: 45.4 percent above population average
Australia: 36.8 percent above population average
United States: 16.3 percent above population average
Latin America: 3.5 percent below population average

More interesting facts: When Glow asked its community, “Would you rather give up sex or your cell phone?” a shocking 33.2 percent of people said they'd give up sexing and keep on texting.

In terms of how their monthly cycles affect their sex life, users said:
Days 12 to 14 after their period were when they had the most sex.
Days 13 to 14 after their period were when they felt the horniest.
Days 15 to 16 after their period were when they felt the happiest.
Day 30 after their period was when they had the best orgasms.

(Days 1 to 5 were considered "during your period" and day 30 was considered the end of your cycle just before your next period.)

Now, the majority of the users of Glow (60 percent) are trying to conceive, so that could play into why they're having the most sex around ovulation time. However, the information about happiness and peak orgasm is certainly useful to the rest of us. Looks like having sex right before your period is a tactic worth trying.
